Two dead as motorcycle hits pickup truck in Lamphun

Two people have died and another person was injured after a motorcycle slammed into a pickup truck in Lamphun yesterday, Dec. 9.

The accident occurred in front of Seven Sapang in Mueang Noi, Pa Sang District at around 9:15 p.m.

The deceased were named as Mr. Wiraphon Muangsuwan, 44 from Mueang Lamphun, the rider of the bike and surprisingly Mr. Prasert Photis, 60 from Pa Sang who was the driver of the pickup truck. The injured person, Ms. Supawadee Srisuthiwong from Bangkok who was a passenger in the pickup truck was transported to Pa Sang District Hospital.

The cause of the accident is currently unknown. It would appear that the motorcycle has hit the pickup truck at speed with the rider, Mr. Muangsuwan flying into the pickup truck, killing Mr. Photis and injuring Ms. Srisuthiwong in the process.
