Two dead in Superhighway hit and run in Lamphun

Two people have died following a hit and run on the Superhighway (Highway 11) in Lamphun last night, Nov. 14.

The accident happened through Mueang Lamphun at around 9 p.m.

Emergency workers found two people at the scene who had come of their respective motorbikes, one already dead and one who died later in hospital. The victims were both from Mae La Noi District in Mae Hong Son – Mr. Dilok Kittiphakdeekul, 39 and Mr. Suwan Khet Sakulkiri, 27.

Although there were no witnesses to the accident, police found “car fittings” from a black Mitsubishi at the scene with they believe belonged to the vehicle that had hit the motorcycles then fled the scene.

Police are investigating, presumably including studying CCTV footage to ascertain the vehicle in the accident so they can find the driver to lay charges.
