A 60-year-old uncle has died after he was hit by a pickup truck while cycling in San Pa Tong yesterday, Jan. 30.
The accident happened on San Pa Tong – Mae Wang Road (Highway 1013) in Moo 7 Yu Wa at around 7:50 p.m.
The victim, Mr. Chamroen Kongfai from Moo 1 Yu Wa was rushed to San Pa Tong Hospital where he died sometime later.
The driver of the car, Mr. Natchol Inchan, 23 said that he did not see Mr. Kongfai on his bike until the last second and was unable to avoid hitting him.
Police are investigating including studying CCTV footage before deciding whether to press charges.
