Villagers and police are searching for a mushroom picker that has been missing in a forested area of Phrae for four days.
Mr. Saow Phetchan, 55, was last seen when he left his home in Ban Pang Yao, Moo 6 Phai Thon, Rong Kwang District June 3 to head to a nearby forest to pick hed thob mushrooms.
The man’s wife, Mrs. Arun Sitaayang, informed police that he was missing after he failed to return home the same day.
Those searching for the missing man thought they may have discovered Mr. Phetchan dead after they detected a “strong, foul smell” while searching yesterday but instead found a dead snake.
The search remains ongoing at the time of writing. Anyone with information about the missing man (pictured below) is encouraged to call police.
