Water inundates 100 military homes in Mae Rim

Around 100 homes were affected by water last night (Oct. 3) after water running off Doi Suthep flowed through a military housing estate in Mae Rim.

The housing estate, located off Canal Road near the Court of Appeal District 5 buildings saw water rush through the estate at levels between 50 to 80 centimeters on average in the middle of the night.

The 33rd Division of the Army mobilized help to assist military personnel and families who lived in flooded houses, including rescuing cars from lower lying areas.

It was noted by Thai media that the estate is not that of the controversial court housing estate in the same area and that the military estate has a creek running through it that contributed to the flooding.
