Wisdom Airways, the successor company to Kan Air, the regional airline that went bankrupt is 2017, is continuing to expand with the announcement of a new Chiang Mai – Mae Sot service starting March 2.
The service, utilizing one of Wisdom’s two Cessna Caravan aircraft, will initially offer two return flights a week but may increase frequency should there be demand.
The airline will fly the route Monday and Saturday leaving Chiang Mai at 2.35 p.m., landing in Mae Sot at 3:35 p.m. The return flight then leaves Mae Sot at 3:50 p.m. landing in Chiang Mai at 4:50 p.m.
Airfares are being offered at 1,890 baht a ticket with an initial promotion price of 1,590 baht.
The service was welcomed by Tak Provincial officials it’s the first direct air service between Mae Sot and Chiang Mai since the demise of Kan Air.
Wisdom Airways already services multiple locations out of Chiang Mai International Airport including Pai, Mae Hong Son and Nan.
