Mae Ai is once again leading the way in enforcing the current fire ban by locating and arresting a woman who was burning garden refuse on Sunday, April 7.
The fire was spotted Ban Huai Sala Village, Moo 15 Tha Ton by local police and forest protection officers who were patrolling the area as part of the local smog and fire prevention operation.
The woman arrested, Mrs. Eiad Hong, was found to be burning refuse in the backyard of her house.
After the obligatory pointing pictures were taken, Mrs. Hong was taken to a nearby police station where she was charged with breaching the fire ban with other charges also possible according to Thai language media.
