Fire destroys teak home in Doi Lo

A fire destroyed a teak home in a village in Doi Lo on Saturday, May 25.

The fire broke out in the home in Moo 7 Yang Khram at around 10:45 a.m.

Villagers attempted to put the fire out until emergency services workers including a fire truck arrived at the scene. Upon arrival it took the 20 minutes to bring the fire under control.

The homeowners, Mr. Chantip Burinboon, 58 and Mrs. Moi Burindun, 58, were not injured. Damage is estimated to be around 525,000 baht.

The cause of the fire was not blamed directly on a short circuit but instead “old wiring” in the home.
