In a good news story, volunteers and firefighters manage to bring under control a fire that was threatening homes in Lampang last night, April 15.
The fire, suspected to have been started by hill tribe members, was first detected out of control at around 11 p.m near Ban Nong Ha, Moo 4 Na Pong, Thoen District with volunteers from the village quickly joining the effort to tackle the fire.
Lampang Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, Thoen Branch fire engines were dispatched to the scene to assist with the fire being brought under control by 1:20 a.m. this morning, April 16.
No houses or property were fortunately damaged.
Along with Chiang Rai, the number of fires in Lampang increased over night has both provinces saw their fire bans ending.
