Four injured as bus carrying Chiang Mai community leaders crashes in Lampang

Four people have been injured after the bus they were traveling on crashed in Lampang last night, Jan. 21.

The accident occurred in Phaholyothin Road (Highway 1) in Mae Thot, Thoen District at around 10 p.m.

The bus was carrying 40 people described as elderly community leaders from Chiang Mai to a conference in Chanthaburi.

The four injured, one man and three women all hail from Fang District, Chiang Mai.

The cause of the accident is currently subject to investigation by police but there’s some suggestion that the bus may have blown a tire causing it to careen into a ditch at the side of the road.
