South Korean airline Jeju Air is temporarily adding a new service between Chiang Mai and Muan, South Korea the first time the two cities have been directly linked.
The flights will run on a trial basis from Feb. 13 to Feb. 27 next year, 2020 between Chiang Mai International Airport and Muan International Airport running twice a week.
7C4219 leaves Muan at 6:30 p.m. landing at CNX at 10:10 p.m. The return leg, 7C4210 leaves Chiang Mai at 11:10 p.m. landing in Muan at 5:55 a.m. local time. The days the flights are running is not currently clear with bookings not yet available from their website.
The airline appears to be testing the service to see if there is any demand for it. South Korean carriers have been adding more flights to Southeast Asia as a trade war between Japan has seen locals look for new destinations to visit.
Muan is a county in the southwest of South Korea with the airport servicing the cities of Gwangju, Mokpo and Naju.
