A Haiya hotel was robbed early this morning, Feb. 5 by three men wielding knives.
The stickup, at 5:45 a.m. occurred at the Airport Resident Hotel on Mahidol Road.
According to reports, the men, disguised with “cloths” across their faces, charged into the lobby of the hotel and threatened staff.
The men demanded access to a safe where they found and then took 30,000 baht in cash. The CCTV camera recording of the incident was also taken.
One employee suffered knife wounds to their arm during the initial part of the raid.
The men are described as having left the scene on a blue Honda Wave motorcycle. Police are investigating CCTV cameras near the hotel in an attempt to identify them.
The men are also described as having a “big” accent suggesting that they may have not been from the area.
