LINE tells CMU students there’s money to be made in creating stickers

Lucky students at Chiang Mai University have had a visit from Japanese messaging giant LINE Corp. as part of a tour to promote the creation of messaging stickers for the app.

The LINE Creators Market Region Tour includes representatives from the company highlighting the benefits of designing stickers as well as workshops demonstrating how easy they are to design.

Phanom Suppakarn, Director of LINE Thailand Sticker Business told students that in Thailand this year there has been a 200 percent incresae Thai sticker creators with Thailand now being LINE’s biggest market for sticker creators with 340,000 Thai people getting in on the business.

“Being a creator is a career that can make a lot of money,” Mr. Suppakarn said.

To support sticker creators, the company is running the LINE CREATORS MARKET STICKER CONTEST 2018 where winners with great designs can win 50,000 baht to assist them to build their sticker making businesses further.
