A man has been shot following a dispute over an outstanding debt outside of a market in Moo 2 Nong Pa Khrang yesterday, Feb. 4 at around 5.30 p.m.
According to reports, Mr. Krissana Kusima, 29 and friend, Mr. Cholchid Khankaew, 22 attended a charcoal fish stall run by a woman, named only as Ms. A (assumed name) to demand that a debt of 20,000 baht be repaid.
Ms. A, who was unable to pay the debt, then called her boyfriend, Mr. Natthachai Phuthana, 26 to assist.
Upon the arrival of Mr. Phuthanaa a fight broke out. A video posted by The Nation shows the various parties yelling at each other with some pushing and shoving as well.
At some point, Mr. Kusima pulled out a .38 handgun and shot Mr. Phuthana.
With no shortage of witnesses given the market was busy at the time, police were called and arrived quickly at the scene where they found Mr. Phuthana injured with a gunshot wound in his right arm.
Mr. Kusima was arrested and taken to Mae Ping Police station where he was expected to be charged with attempted murder and possibly firearms offenses as well.
