Man sought for cutting up and eating beercat in Kanchanaburi

Police in Kanchanaburi Province are seeking a Burmese national who is believed to have chopped up and eaten a protected bearcat earlier this month.

The man is alleged to have hunted and killed the animal along with another Myanmar national who has already been arrested.

The other man is said to have confessed to shooting the animal but said his friend had been the one to cut it up and eat it. The evidence is said to include hunting gear and animal remains although the missing man is believed to have returned to Myanmar.
