Missing Lampang man found dead in forest with shotgun wounds

A man who went missing in Lampang 10 days ago has been found dead in a remote forest area with shotgun wounds yesterday, Jan. 27.

Mr. Charmon Dee, 51 from Moo 9 Thung Kwao, Mueang Pan left home to go hunting on Jan. 12 and had not been seen since.

Over 70 rescue workers, local volunteers and monks started searching for Mr. Dee Saturday after his family had reported him missing. Apparently, Mr. Dee often went hunting for days at a time but the family had become concerned after he had failed to return.

His body was subsequently found in a remote area in Ban Kha with shotgun pellet wounds to his face and neck.

Police believe he may have been accidentally shot dead by others he was hunting with.

Known associates of Mr. Dee have been called in for questioning by local police.
