In what is one of the biggest single drug hauls in history and possibly the largest this year, the Royal Thai Army has seized 18,760,000 yaba tablets in two vehicles.
The drugs were being hauled along Phahonyothin Road (Highway 1) near the Mae Chan intersection in Wiang Chai last night, Dec. 16 when soldiers attempted to pull the two vehicles over.
Both drivers gave chase until they eventually stopped the vehicles and disappeared into a forest.
Weirdly, the drugs were stamped with the logo of the Real Madrid football team.
A press conference, with more details, has been scheduled to be held this afternoon.
