Police, ambulance called after man found sleeping in car parked on Superhighway

Police and an ambulance were called by passersby after they spotted a man sleeping in a car parked on the Superhighway this morning, May 2.

The car was parked at the side of the highway proper outbound about 500 meters from the Maya Shopping Center in Chang Phueak.

It took both police and ambulance workers 30 minutes to wake the 23-year-old man up.

The unnamed man said that he couldn’t remember how he got there.

A security guard in a nearby building told police that he had seen the car parked at the side of the Superhighway at 2 a.m. but hadn’t given it any further thought.

The man, who was described as notably not smelling of alcohol, was taken to Lanna Hospital for a checkup.
