Small 2.4 earthquake rattles Doi Saket

The latest in a string of minor earthquakes and tremors struck Doi Saket early this morning (July 26).

The 2.4 earthquake struck at 12:56 a.m. at 18.89, 99.23 about two kilometers south of the intersection of Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai Road (Highway 118) and Rural Road 3005 at depth of 9 kilometers.

Thai language press reports that the quake was felt by locals but no damage was reported.

The quake is a latest in recent months including a 2.4 in Mae Wang June 26, a 2.1 at Wat Rong Khun in Chiang Rai June 12, a 3.6 earthquake in Chai Prakan May 31 another quake in Mae Lao June 3.
