Another afternoon of summer storms in the north yesterday, May 21 has resulted in homes being damaged in both Chiang Rai and Lampang.
In Chiang Rai, a storm that hit Moo 7 Mae Salong, Mae Fa Luang District saw trees and power lines down blocking roads. A number of trees are also reported to have fallen on the houses and shops in the village while other houses lost their roofs due to high winds.
In Baan Kong Ngam in Mae Raeng, Pa Sang, Lampang, a storm took roofs of houses and in one case resulted in the demolition of an entire home. A tree was also reported to have fallen on Wat Pa Hieng in the same village.

After a relatively dry May, wet season was declared to have stared on Monday, May 20 with storms in the north arriving nearly on queue.
