Thieves steal over 2 million baht in computer equipment from Chang Phuak store

Thieves have stolen computers and computer parts from a store behind Icon Square in Chang Phuak to the value of around 2 million baht.

The theft, which included 10 computers each worth around 20,000 – 30,0000 baht each, computer equipment including CPUs and motherboard, and perhaps more notably 20 video cards – graphics processing units being able to be used to mine for cryptocurrency.

The shop itself experience around 200,000 in a additional damage and the thieves also stole a cash register which is believed to have held around 10,000 baht.

Police suspect that those behind the theft may have previously cased the shop or may work nearby. They are currently checking CCTV footage and for fingerprints in the scene in an effort to locate the thieves who are believed to have broken in very early this morning, June 11.
