Three arrested for murder as bodies of missing Australian/Thai couple found in Phrae

Three men have been arrested for the murder of an Australian man and his Thai wife who went missing last week in Phrae.

Alan Hogg, 64, and his wife, Nott Suddaen, were reported missing Sept. 20 with police discovering blood at their house in Moo 6 Chorhae, Mueang Phrae Friday.

The brother of the missing woman, Warun Watanasatjakit, 63 was arrested and subsequently released on bail for stealing the couples car and selling it.

Today, Sept. 25, three men have been arrested for murder after the bodies of the pair were discovered by police in a garden area of their home.

The three men have not been named as yet but have confessed, telling police that they were paid 50,000 baht by the brother to murder the couple following a number of disputes over money.

Mr. Watanasatjakit is said to have skipped bail and is currently being sought by police.

Mr. Hogg, originally from the U.K., is described as an engineer who had spent a number of years with his wife in the Phrae village.
