Three dead, others injured in Lampang 7-Eleven shooting

A touch of the U.S. has come to Thailand after a man has killed three people and injured others in a shooting in a car park outside a Lampang 7-Eleven.

The shooting occurred early this morning, Dec. 26 at around 1 a.m. outside of a 7-Eleven in Wiang Bua Village, Chompu, Mueang Lampang.

According to reports, the shooter, Mr. Dumrongchai Manotam, 39 , had become enraged with jealousy after he found out that woman he was interested in was attending a local entertainment venue.

Two of the victims were named as the woman who was the target of the shooters rage – Miss. Bunyaporn Kanthala, 20, a student at Lampang Rajabhat University and a security guard, Mr. Weerapong Mo Pa, 38.

Three others were injured.

The body of Mr. Manotam was found at the scene with a gunshot wound to his temple, suggesting that he shot himself after shooting the others.
