Two people have died after a pickup truck struck a motorcycle in Nan yesterday (Sept. 23) evening.
The accident occurred at 8:45 pm. on Nan-Tha Wang Pha Road (Highway 101) in Bo, Mueang Nan when the pickup truck went to turn off the road and struck a motorcycle which was traveling in the other direction.
The driver of the pickup truck told police that they did not see the motorcycle as it did not have it headlights on. The motorcycle had three passengers on it at the time of the accident who were described by Thai language media as being students.
Despite protesting innocence, the driver, Mr. Thasapol Anan 41, has been charged with reckless driving causing death.
