Two Taiwanese tourists die in Lampang crash

Two Taiwanese tourists have been killed after they were struck by a vehicle on Highway 11 in Tambon Wiang Tan, Hang Chat district Saturday afternoon.

According to reports, the sedan driver lost control of their vehicle in wet conditions, striking the two tourists who were traveling north to Chiang Mai, with their bodies being thrown from the bike into a roadside ditch where one died instantly, while the second rider died later in hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, registered in Kamphaeng Phet, has been arrested by police and is facing legal action for the deaths of the tourists.
