Police have arrested two trans women today (Sept. 12) at a house in Moo 7, San Sai Noi, San Sai who robbed a Chinese tourist on Loi Kroh Road, Chang Klan Sept. 8.
The robbery occurred near the Chinese temple at the eastern end of Loi Kroh, not far from the Night Bazaar’s biggest intersection at 9 p.m. with the two women snatching a bag from the tourist that contained 13,775 yuan, 2,300 baht and a number of personal belongings.
The two arrested, described as being “homosexuals” by Thai language press, were named as Mr. Bundit Surnum, 33 from Chiang Rai and Mr. Thunyarat Chompoo, 31 from Lampang.
In a strange twist, the trans women said that the only robbed the tourist as there had been a dispute over payment for sexual services, with the Chinese tourist only paying them 200 baht for their services despite an agreed price of 500 baht.
The sex, in this case, is said to have occurred near the banks of the Ping River and the recreation of the crime included a recreation of the sex act which per the picture above involved the Chinese national being in the middle.
The police praised the decision of the tourist to come forward to make the complaint, as they said that usually tourists are too embarrassed to come forward when they are robbed by prostitutes.
The two have been detained on multiple charges including theft and prostitution.
