Wisdom Airways launches new Chiang Mai-Mae Hong Son service

Wisdom Airways, the successor company to Kan Air, the regional airline that went bankrupt last year, has launched a new service to Mae Hong Son Airport from Chiang Mai International Airport.

The service, which utilizes Kan Air’s former Cessna Caravan aircraft, took passengers for its first trip this morning before the aircraft itself goes into regular service starting June 25 with three return flights daily.

According to the company, the service is launching with a promotional airfare of 1590 baht per trip (it’s not clear if that is one way or return) including up to 15 kilograms of free luggage and a snack on board.

The airline has plans to eventually fly to other destinations in the north including Pai and Nan.
