Woman killed in Lamphun pickup truck crash

A woman has died after she crashed her pickup truck into a tree in wet weather in Lamphun early this morning, Nov. 8.

The accident happened on Sop Ta – Tha Li Road in Pak Bo, Pa Sang at around 5:55 a.m.

The victim, Mrs. Si Yamlakasemsri, 49 from Tha Tum, Pa Sang was driving along the road in a black Toyota Hilux when she has lost control on a bend and slammed into a tree. She was rushed to Lamphun Hospital where she was confirmed dead a short time later.

There were no witnesses, however, a slippery road is being blamed.

Notably, the damage on the vehicle doesn’t actually appear that bad, at least not to the point of it having caused a fatality. It’s possible that the deceased may not have been wearing a seat belt as there’s no other logical explanation given that the inside cab of the pickup truck only suffered minor damage.
